Group Model
Under a group model, FRSD participants discover they are not the only ones going through challenges related to chronic pain. They are able to recognize that there are other individuals out there experiencing exactly what they are experiencing. Our team of specialists work collaboratively with our patients. Treatment plans can be designed for the patient’s individual goals, challenges, and needs. Receiving treatment is rarely a passive activity, and participating in your own recovery will be empowering. We encourage all of our patients to Rethink their circumstances, Rebuild their lives and Rejoice.
Biofeedback
FRSD participants can assess their ability to manage pain and thoughts using breathing and meditation. They are also able to assesses the amount of pain reduction experienced during a relaxation assessment, as well as the barriers that are getting in the way of relaxation. Additionally, they can identify how effectively they are feeling while performing the skills learned in the program. We are measuring ability to stay in the present moment, identify values, use actions to create change, manage thoughts, and make room for unwanted thoughts, emotions, and physical discomfort.
Individualized Home
Exercise Program
Our Physical Therapist works with FRSD participants to develop a home exercise program that is specific to their goals. The home exercise program maintains the progress of stability, balance and strength gained throughout the program. When participants Graduate from the program, they will be able to continue their program from home.
